The Black Bear Girls Cubs Program is for girls in grades 2nd through 8th and is a player-focused program with a passion to serve our community. Our Girls Cubs Program’s main goals are develop each participant’s love for the game of lacrosse and lacrosse skill sets through a positive learning experience. Families will love our “Team First Culture” developed through positive coaching, goal-setting, and building a players’ confidence.

 

Our Girls Cubs Program Director is current Upper Perkiomen High School Varsity Head Coach Catie Sobotor who is a 2005 Spring-Ford Alum and has helped Youth through high school girls for the past 18 years at Perkiomen Valley and Methacton as well as with Dynamite Lacrosse Club from 2010-2016. Coach Sobotor is in charge of developing our Cub curriculum and practice planning.

Assistant Directors Coach Val and Nikki

  • Coach Val brings over 15 years of coaching experience including being the founder of the OBX Girls Lacrosse program in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Currently she is coaching locally at Boyertown WEST and Boyertown Optimist Club. She loves working with players of all ages and teaching them the sport of lacrosse.

  • Coach Nikki is ready to share her knowledge and life-long love of the sport. She has deep roots in the area having coached at Perkiomen Valley Youth and Dynamite Girls Lacrosse Club Program for many years as well as being the Lacrosse Manager for BSN Sports. She believes in honoring the sport of lacrosse and creating a genuine love of the game in each player; while focusing on teamwork, culture and positive reinforcement of effort.

WINTER SCHEDULE

-FOUR to SIX 2-Hour Winter Training Sessions December-February

-Club Exclusive Access to additional Lacrosse Specific Training and instruction on Sunday Mornings at the Far Post in Limerick PA from January-February.

SPRING SCHEDULE

-THREE to FOUR Spring Practices on Weekends throughout March-May to focus on player development and team chemistry (This is NOT a replacement to your Spring Recreational Program)

-Black Bear Youth Night Sponsored Event at local College or High School

-10-12 90 Minute TEAM Training Sessions on Weekday Nights at Perkiomen Valley High School in Collegeville, PA
